Alu-Pro, an Italian manufacturer of metal profiles used in insulating glass
units, has acquired the majority interest in Vetrim, a Polish company also involved
in the production of aluminum profiles and the distribution of products used in
the manufacturing of insulating glass, from the Italian company Imsa.
Vetrim has been in operation since the early 1990s as the Polish branch of
the Imsa Group. According to a company announcement, Alu-Pro bought shares in
Vetrim in 2001 and steady growth shifted Vetrim's focus to the production of aluminum
profiles, which lead Imsa to transfer its stake in the company to Alu-Pro.
Vetrim will continue to operate in Opole, which is in Poland's industrial region.
Its core business will be the production and sale of aluminum profiles.
