Aldora Announces New Location

Aldora, a supplier of architectural aluminum and glass products based in Miramar, Fla., has expanded with a new a satellite branch in Altamonte Springs, Fla. The new location is set to launch on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 and will distribute products from the East Coast to the West Coast of Florida out of its central location.

Aldora will offer tempered glass products, laminated glass, insulating glass, shower doors, all glass entrances and glazing supplies. Additionally, the company will provide impact and non-impact entrance doors and storefronts manufactured by its aluminum manufacturing affiliate, SMI Aluminum Systems.

"We are extremely pleased to add a facility to Central Florida. We believe that we have the right combination of products and customer service that are what glaziers in the area are looking for," says Rick Silverstein, president of both Aldora and SMI Aluminum Systems. "The expansion into the Orlando location has been part of our strategic plan to better serve the Florida market."

Industry veteran Jay Kaplan will oversee the facility as branch manager.

"I am extremely excited to be a part of Aldora's expansion," says Kaplan. "To have a distribution facility backed up by the resources out of Aldora's Miramar location will create a remarkable range of service to the area glaziers."
