AFG Glass Names Operations Manager for Carbondale, Pa., Laminating Plant

Brad Kitterman, president and chief executive officer of AFG Industries has announced organizational changes in the company's fabrication division. Effective August 1st, AFG's laminating facility/GPI will become part of AFG's fabrication group and will be known as AFG Residential Fabrication - Carbondale.

Rob Schilling, currently operations manager of AFG Residential Fabrication-Quakertown, has been named as operations manager of Carbondale in addition to his current position. Carbondale plant manager, Mike Grandinetti, will continue in his position and report directly to Schilling.

"The close proximity of Quakertown and Carbondale, and the similarity of their fabrication processes presented a unique opportunity for Rob and Mike, AFG and both plants. The synergies of both plants products including tempering, laminating and security/hurricane insulating offer us a significant opportunity for profitable growth through quality products and service," said Kitterman.
