AFG to Introduce New Low-Maintenance Glass

AFG was showing something new at its booth in Atlanta, but it wasn’t out in the open with the other brochures and glass samples. Tucked away in a partially hidden spot was the company’s newest glass, “an attempt to create a category we define as low maintenance,” explained Fred Wallin, vice president of marketing.

“Spotless,” as the glass is currently called, awaiting final name approval.

Designed for locations that don’t get rain and lack of sunshine to initiate photolytic process. It is a low-maintenance glass and AFG will target the residential market first. Wallin expects a lot of window manufacturers will be interested in the combination of Spotless and Low-E. The company expects to be fully ramped up by the first of the year, but will begin introducing it to their customers soon.
