Marc Massa, vice president of sales for AFG Industries in Kingsport, Tenn., has announced that Chad Nixon has been promoted to the position of field salesperson for the Charlotte, N.C., territory.

Nixon has been with the company since 2002, joining as a sales trainee. In 2003 he was promoted to field sales for AFGD's Birmingham, Ala., location, and most recently served as a salesperson for the AFG Fabrication-Commercial division in Tulsa, Okla.

He is a 1998 graduate of East Tennessee State University. He received his master's degree in 2001 from ETSU.
