Insulated Glass Performance Ratings Addressed by Latest AAMA Guideline

The thermal performance verification program for sealed insulated glass has been updated by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). Officially titled AAMA 110-06, Verification for Sealed Insulating Glass Thermal Performance Data Library, the program provides uniform and credible thermal performance test data for inclusion into the AAMA data library, according to Dean Lewis, AAMA Certification Manager.

"The document is used in conjunction with AAMA 1505, which outlines overall procedures used for determining thermal performance ratings of glass products," notes Lewis.

In order to provide a single source for such information, AAMA maintains a glass data library that can be accessed by those who specify and evaluate fenestration products per AAMA 1505.

The document is available through download, CD or paper copy at a cost of $6.00 for non-members and $3.00 for members.
