The America Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) has hired Dick Wilhelm
to serve as a consultant in the Southeast region. Wilhelm is a lobbyist with many
years of technical experience in high-performance fenestration glazing and will
now be responsible for handling code and legislative activities in Florida.
In his new role with AAMA, Wilhelm will be representing both AAMA and AAMA
Southeast Region before the Florida Building Code Commission, the Florida State
Legislature and the Florida Product Approval Program.
"In addition to lobbying for code and policy acceptance of Southeast AAMA
proposals, Dick will provide regular and timely reports to AAMA members on related
legislative issues and product approval issues within Florida," said Rick
Walker, AAMA executive vice president.
Sigi Valentin will continue to serve as director of the AAMA Southeast Region
and represent the organization at building official expositions and educational
conferences within the Southeast states. He will work with Wilhelm to develop
code proposals and revisions based on directions from AAMA members.
