Bavelloni, Ertl Glas Sign Contract
Z. Bavelloni, a member of the Glaston Technologies group and part
of the KYRO group, has announced the conclusion of an important
contract with the Austrian group Ertl Glas for the supply of two
integrated lines for the grinding, milling and drilling of flat
glass.
According to a Bavelloni news release, Ertl Glas is a front-linen
figure in the European market for the processing of laminated and
hardened glass. The company was established in 1938 and has grown
to now include production sites across Austria and the former Czechoslovakia.
Ertl Glass, run by Josef Ertl, chose Z. Bavelloni as its partner
for the supply of two integrated lines for processing glass of dimensions
up to 3000- x 2600-mm and 5100- x 2600 mm. The lines are also suitable
for processing low-E glass.
Each integrated line consists of a glass-loading station, a VX
11 OS double-edging line, an HDM26 horizontal drill for drilling
and milling, complete with two tool stores, a washing machine and
a station for unloading the glass.
The integrated lines are available in a complete range of models
with the capacity to process glass up to Magnum size (3.3 x 7.2
meters), while the individual machines within the lines (such as
the VX and HDM) can also be purchased separately. Z. Bavelloni guarantees
the possibility of augmenting and integrating machinery at a later
date.
"This recognition from the market fully endorses the validity of
the strategic choices made by our company," said Mauri Leponen,
business director architectural glass technology of Tamglass/Z.
Bavelloni. "The Z. Bavelloni name has always stood for reliability
and quality, and our company has been chosen as a technological
partner by leading-edge producers in the glass sector to compete
and maintain their leadership in an increasingly tough and competitive
international market with progressively more highly-specified requirements."
