Edgetech I.G. Welcomes George Wilson to Executive Team

TextEdgetech I.G. has appointed George Wilson to director of business development. In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for seeking strategic business opportunities for the company in North America, as well as globally.

"We are excited to welcome George to our executive team," says Mike Hovan, president of Edgetech I.G. "His expertise and experience with high-level strategy will be invaluable going forward as we investigate production strategies, financing and global opportunities that will add value to our organization and our customers."

Wilson holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Akron and an MBA from Indiana University. He joins Edgetech with more than 15 years of experience in high-level, strategic positions including general manager for Federal Mogul's lighting division where he oversaw manufacturing operations at six plants in the United States, Brazil and Mexico.

"My primary objectives are to help Edgetech stay on the cutting edge and continue to be a leader and trendsetter in the industries it serves," Wilson says. "I look forward to the opportunity and working with the team to achieve their growth targets both domestically and on an international level."

Outside of work, Wilson is active in the American Management Association and is the past-president of the Ohio Mid-Eastern Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. He resides in Dover with his wife, Jennifer, and two sons.
