Viracon of Owatonna, Minn., promoted Garret Henson to vice president of sales, according to a February 9 company news release. He worked as the director of sales for the past five years and will continue to report to Kelly Schuller, president of Viracon.

"I'm humbly accepting this position, and the continued opportunity to work with some of the greatest sales talent and character in the industry," says Henson, in the release. "I'm grateful to have been taught this business from my colleagues at Viracon, and there is still much to learn."

Garret joined Viracon in 1993 as a field sales trainee, and became a field sales representative based in Colorado. He regularly advanced through increasing levels of field sales management responsibility, both domestically and internationally.

"Garret has built great relationships with most of our customers and many others in our industry, as well as building bridges within Viracon," says Schuller, in the release. "He understands Viracon very well and has helped build the best sales and service team in the business. He will bring a valuable perspective to Viracon's senior leadership team, as he is now part of the team setting overall company direction."

Henson holds a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate, a mini master of business administration in international management and is a six sigma black belt. He and his family reside in Owatonna.
