Viracon has been named a winner of the fifth annual Progressive
Manufacturing 100 Awards, receiving top honors in the category of
Operational Excellence Mastery. The company was awarded the honors
for its asset tracking achievements across three facilities.
"At Viracon, we're constantly looking for ways to operate more
efficiently and provide our customers with superior products and
service," says Sheila Meixner, vice president of process improvement
at Viracon. "We are proud of the results we've achieved using
the new asset tracking system, and we're honored to have received
the PM100 award."
Viracon, which incorporated AeroScout's Asset Tracking solution,
was chosen for the PM100 award by a judging panel chaired by David
R. Brousell, editor-in-chief of Managing Automation Media and Jeff
Moad, executive editor of Managing Automation.
The PM100 Awards recognize 100 projects that have achieved distinction
in at least one of the eight core disciplines defined by Managing
Automation Media as critical to business success in the years ahead.
