Urmilla Jokhu-Sowell Joins GANA Staff

The Glass Association of North America (GANA) is pleased to announce the addition of Urmilla Jokhu-Sowell to its staff. Jokhu-Sowell will serve as the Association's Assistant Technical Director starting July 1, 2007, working in coordination with Greg Carney, GANA's Technical Director. Jokhu-Sowell was previously employed by Hurricane Test Laboratory, LLC, for the last 6 years in Florida. There she served as the Assistant Operations Manager and previously served as a Test Engineer and Technical Writer for that company.

"I am extremely pleased to have Urmilla as part of the GANA team," said Stan Smith, GANA Executive Vice President. "Her excellent reputation, experience and credentials compliment those of our current staff, and we look forward to the positive impact for our members she will bring."

She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock TX, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

"I look forward to making a positive contribution to GANA and working with Greg Carney and everyone on the GANA team," said Jokhu-Sowell. "I also look forward to responding to the challenges of this new position, and I am very excited about moving back to Texas with my husband, daughter and upcoming baby."
