 
Glaziers Union Dismisses Suit Against
Trainor

The Trustees of the Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glass Workers
Local Union No. 27 Welfare and Pension Funds has voluntarily dismissed
its suit against Trainor Glass Co. The notice
of voluntarily dismissal was filed on April 11 in the U.S. District
Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.
The plaintiff "dismisses this action against defendant, Trainor
Glass Company, without prejudice pursuant to provisions of Rule
41(a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure," the notice
states. "In support thereof, plaintiff states: 1. This case
was filed on February 28, 2012. 2. Defendant has not yet answered
plaintiff's complaint. 3. Defendant not having answered, plaintiff
may voluntarily dismiss the case without prejudice. Wherefore, plaintiffs
give this notice, dismissing the case without prejudice."
The case was terminated
the same day.
The union filed
a complaint against Trainor Glass on February 28, alleging that
the company owes them $2,931.72.
Trainor Glass filed
for bankruptcy on March 9.
The company still faces other pending lawsuits brought by the Trustees
of the Indiana State Council of Roofers Health and Welfare Fund
and by a former
employee.
