Trainor Glass Company Launches Chicago Glass
Design Center
June 23, 2010
With more than 57 years of commercial glazing throughout the country,
Trainor Glass of Alsip, Ill., is continuing to grow into residential
interiors by opening its third glass design center, located at 939
W. Lake Street in the West Loop of Chicago.
"We have seen the most unique glass designs throughout the
world in our business, and can't wait to show you the endless possibilities
of glass in home and office interiors," says Bob Trainor, chief
executive officer of Trainor Glass Company.
According to the company announcement, the moment visitors enter
the new 20,000-square-foot Lake Street showroom, they will begin
to see the endless potential of glass. From glass stairs to kitchen
countertops that change color, illuminated glass shelving to shower
enclosures, the showplace offers a variety of samples as well as
experienced design consultants to help customers transform their
inspirations into reality.
Products include:
Exterior glass: Railings, fencing, awnings, sunshades, decorative
printed glass;
Interior glass: Glass and mirrored closets, custom mirrors,
shelving, digitally printed glass, partition walls and doors; and
Kitchen, shower and bath glass: Shower and tub enclosures,
partitions, screens, glass countertops, sinks and backsplashes.
"We've been the company Chicago businesses have come to for
glass since 1953. We've seen the market's peaks and valleys, but
through it all, our business has stayed strong. Why? Chicagoans
just love glass," adds Trainor. "Glass has a style and
elegance that is fresh and unique, and that is a value our customers
recognize no matter what the economy is doing."
The company says its new design center will bring 30-40 new jobs
to the area with glass design, delivery and installation throughout
Chicago and the outlying suburbs.
