SynergX Opens U.S. Sales Office
November 24, 2009
SynergX Technologies Inc. in Laval, Quebec, a global supplier of
automated optical inspection technology for the glass industry,
today announced the opening of its U.S. sales office. President
and chief executive officer Ken Wawrew has appointed Jim Borges
to be the U.S. sales manager.
Borges has more than 20 years of experience in system sales of camera-
and laser-based inspection systems throughout North America. He
brings industry specific knowledge in glass inspection both on the
float and in numerous post processing operations.
The SynergX U.S. operation will focus on the solar glass and automotive
segments, with field-hardened solutions for defect and edge inspection
that have been in operation for years. The company reports that
an additional family of distortion sensing and sizing products will
be introduced in 2010. Plans are for technical support facilities
to come on-line in 2010 as well.
"Growing and servicing the US markets is a key element to the
growth strategy of SynergX," says Ken Wawrew. "We believe
our timing is right to put into place a seasoned knowledgeable sales
team that will grow with the coming recovery."
