Symposium on Protective Glazing Technology Scheduled for Chicago
The Protective Glazing Council (PGC) has announced that its Spring
Symposium, scheduled for March 15-16, 2006 at the Holiday Inn City
Centre in downtown Chicago, will offer free registration to architects,
building owners, government officials and glazing contractors who
do not manufacture or supply goods and services for the protective
glazing industry.
Manufacturers, suppliers and consultants to the industry may attend
for a nominal registration fee. The symposium will focus on the
various film and glazing options available to architects and glazing
contractors working jobs which require some level of protection
from blast, bullet and ballistics, windborne debris and other hazards.
"By offering this two-day symposium, our goal is to help educate
architects and glazing contractors on the many options available
for use today," explained Brian Pitman, director of marketing and
communications for PGC. "As these technologies become more prevalent
with more jobs specifying them, PGC felt it was important to offer
this valuable education to the widest possible audience."
Pre-registration is required for free attendance. Those wishing
to attend may register on the PGC website at www.protectiveglazing.org.
