July 31, 2012
Sika has released a report outlining the company's 2012 sales at the
half-year mark. The company is reporting strong growth for the first
half of the year. Sika experienced increased product sales in the
construction industry by 4.8 percent, 4.3 percent of which the company
attributes to acquisitions. Products for industrial manufacturing
also increased by 13.3 percent, with 5.6 percent of this increase
also coming from acquisitions.
Company officials say they expect to see continued growth during the
second half of the year in nearly all regions. North America is predicted
to continue the sales growth, but predictions are unclear for Europe.
Sika also predicts a revival in "construction activities and
infrastructure projects" in China.
Overall, Sika expects its "margins to remain on a positive year-on-year
trend during the second half of the year."
