
Lamiver Founder James F. Sartain Passes Away

Pilkington employee and Lamiver founder James F. Sartain of Moncton,
New Brunswick, passed away last week after a two-year battle with
cancer. He was 78.
Sartain began his career with Pilkington Glass in Saint John in
the early 1950s and went on to establish architectural and automotive
laminating factories in Moncton, New-Brunswick, Orangeville, Ontario,
Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Montreal, Québec, under the Lamilite
and Lamiver names.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doreen, along with four
children, Michael, Michelle, Tim and Cathy.
