April 2, 2012
Officials at Saint-Gobain of France and NSG Corp. of Japan signed
an agreement on March 29 by which NSG acquired Saint-Gobain's total
stake in Flovetro SpA, according to an announcement from Saint-Gobain.
The companies have shared a 50-50 stake in Flovetro SpA since 1976.
Flovetro operates a flat glass manufacturing float line in San Salvo,
Italy. The transfer of shares, which is subject to no suspensive
conditions, was scheduled to be made today. Flovetro SpA will then
become a wholly-owned business of NSG, according to Saint-Gobain.
