Razor's Edge Technologies Changes Name to SPD Technologies and Introduces New Line of SPD-Smart Window Products

Smyrna, Del.-based SPD Technologies, Inc., a smart window company formerly known as Razor's Edge Technologies, announces the launch of new branding, product line, distribution, and e-commerce initiatives.

According to Roman Reyes, a founding partner of SPD Technologies: "Based upon the commercial and residential smart window projects that we have worked on, we have gained expertise in manufacturing and installing products using SPD-Smart(TM) technology and developed the relationships required to effectively penetrate the residential and commercial building markets. As a result of this experience and the groundwork that we have been laying both internally and through our network of distributors, we have launched these major new initiatives to effectively penetrate the growing markets for SPD-Smart products."

SPD Technologies' new product line - Infinitint(TM) - includes windows, skylights, interior partitions, and "smart shades" for both commercial and residential architectural applications. The Infinitint(TM) line uses SPD light-control technology developed by Research Frontiers Inc. (NASDAQ:REFR), which enables users to control the amount of light, glare and heat entering a room or office. Environmental control is achieved by using a small amount of electricity to adjust the amount of light transmitted through thin SPD light-control film.

Infinitint(TM) products are among the most energy-efficient windows available in the market today, block over 99% of UV radiation, and are available with all required electrical certifications for the US and Canada including ETL approvals and other standards.

Infinitint(TM) products are now available through a nationwide network of authorized SPD Technologies' distributors. In addition, the company announces the launch of its new website, www.infinitint.com, a fully-integrated e-commerce site for consumers and businesses.

SPD Technologies and its distributors have planned an aggressive schedule of attendance at both trade and consumer shows this year.
