Eric
Rapp to be AFG Glass Vice President, Fabrication
AFG Industries president and chief executive officer Brad Kitterman
announced Eric Rapp has joined the company as vice president, fabrication.
Rapp is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Rolla and has
bachelors and masters degrees in chemical engineering.
Previously, Rapp served as president of Cardinal IG Company and
vice president of Cardinal Glass Industries until 2006. His experience
with Cardinal spanned 27 years. Prior to his tenure there, he served
in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1968 to 1972 and also with
PPG for five years.
Rapp is a member of the University of Missouri at Rolla's Academy
of Chemical Engineering and was awarded a professional degree by
UMR's Department of Chemical Engineering. He also has been actively
involved with various glass industry associations including having
served as president of SIGMA (now IGMA) and as a member of the WDMA
board of directors.
In his new role, Rapp will be leading all AFG residential and commercial
fabrication operations in the United States and Canada. He will
be based at AFG's corporate headquarters in Atlanta.
