Glass Doctor Partners with Proguard to Stop Burglaries

Glass Doctor in Odessa, Texas, kicked off a partnership with Oxford, Mich.-based Affiliated Construction Specialists (ACS) with a ProGuard Security Systems installation and a check presentation on August 19. Dan Nastansky of Glass Doctor of Odessa accepted the check from ACS President Jeffrey Moss.

Nastansky completed the first sale and installation of a ProGuard system by a Glass Doctor franchise. The Glass Doctor franchise network will be the Certified Dealer Network for ProGuard Security Systems. In addition, interested Glass Doctor shops can participate as installation partners for systems sold by ACS.

"Early feedback from Glass Doctor franchise owners and customers has been very positive, leading to our optimism and excitement about the ProGuard System and our relationship," said Michael Gai, Glass Doctor director of national accounts.

ACS designs and manufactures ProGuard Security Systems. ProGuard offers grid security window bars that are custom-welded from high strength steel. In combination with an interior mounted security roll down door, the security window grids, act as a visual deterrent and physical barrier. The system offers five styles, which can be powder coated to match any existing storefront.

"The advantage of ProGuard security window bars is they are behind the glass, so the building façade is more eye-pleasing for the business' customers," Gai said. "Now a large storefront can be protected from smash-and-grab burglaries and intruders without ugly black bars."

ProGuard's grids are ISO 9000:2000 compliant.
