Artwork in Architectural Glass (AAG), of Good Hope, Ga., has
announced that it is now offering monolithically polished edge
work on glass flooring and glass stair treads.
The glass flooring is UL approved in accordance with UL 410, the
standard for slip resistance of floor surface materials. Large
panel sizes and transparent or translucent anti-slip textures
are designed to provide no interruption to the line of site. The
glass flooring is specifically engineered for each project to
provide the safest solution possible, according to a company news
release.
"This is a big technical advantage that AAG can now offer
our clients," said Tim Czechowski, co-founder of AAG. "In
the past, edges had to be polished prior to laminating which provided
an unfinished look or a fully annealed laminated and polished
product was offered-something that we have never felt was safe
and have never offered. A full tempered monolithically polished
product is what our clients have been looking for and we are proud
to be able to provide it for them."
