PPG Changes Name of Strategic Business Unit: PPG Flat Glass Becomes PPG Performance Glazings

PPG Industries Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, has announced that the strategic business unit formerly known as PPG Flat Glass has been renamed PPG Performance Glazings.

Mark J. Orcutt, vice president of PPG Performance Glazings, said the name change reflects the company's focus on value-added products and services, such as Solarban® 60 glass and the family of PPG Certified Fabricator™ Programs, which now generate a majority of the business unit's revenue.

"Our business continues to evolve to meet the needs of the residential, architectural and specialty glass markets. The goal - as "performance glazings" implies - is to help our customers enhance the performance and value of their products," he said.
