
Northern Architectural Systems Opens New Facility

Northern Architectural Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northern
Building Products, is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony today to
mark the opening of its new facility in Johnstown, N.Y.
According to information from the company, the expansion will provide
50 jobs in the region.
According to information from the company, support from the Fulton
County Economic Development Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce
has proven pivotal in establishing the new facility. The expansion
will allow the company to offer customers locally produced curtainwall,
window walls and storefronts with quantifiable recycled content
that is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
Dignitaries including New York State Assemblyman Marc W. Butler;
Dayton King, mayor of Gloversville; Sarah J. Slingerland, mayor
of Johnstown; Wally Hart, Fulton County regional Chamber of Commerce
and Industry president; and Michael Reese, executive vice president
of the Fulton County Economic Development Council met with members
of the company for the facility's ribbon cutting, completion of
the first order of product and send-off of the first delivery truck.
