Nirma Ltd. Acquires Glass Ingredient Producer Searles Valley Minerals

Sun Capital Partners Inc. has announced that two of its affiliated portfolio companies, Searles Valley Minerals Operations Inc. and Searles Valley Minerals Inc., have been sold to Nirma Ltd., a producer of synthetic soda ash in the world. Searles Valley is a producer of inorganic chemicals, including soda ash and borate. Soda ash is an integral ingredient for manufacturing glass. Borate products are used in a wide variety of applications, including specialty glasses and ceramics.
