Neiswanger Named GANA Technical Services Coordinator
November 24, 2009
Sara
Neiswanger has been named the Glass Association of North America's
(GANA) technical services coordinator, a new position within the
association. Neiswanger joined Association Services Corporation
(ASC), GANA's management company, in 2006 as an executive assistant
for ASC and its clients and became an account executive in 2007.
She also serves as the account executive for the Protective Glazing
Council (PGC) International, the Glazing Industry Code Committee
(GICC) and the Glazing Industry Secretariat Committee (GISC).
"Sara's new role within GANA positions the association to provide
an even better menu of technical services," says GANA's executive
vice president Bill Yanek. "All technical queries, as well
as requests for the newly formed GANA: Advocacy initiatives, will
be directed to Sara. She will work closely with Urmilla Sowell,
GANA's technical director, and all of GANA's consultants to coordinate
a response and any required action from the association."
"On a day to day basis, GANA receives a large number of technical
queries from around the world," says Sowell. "Sara's coordination
will provide a more efficient and responsive system, enabling the
association to better serve its members and the industry."
Neiswanger earned her bachelor's degree in marketing and management
from Washburn University in May 2006, and will soon begin work on
her master's degree in marketing communications. She is also a member
of the American Society of Association Executives.
"GANA's technical services are the best in the industry,"
says Neiswanger. "I look forward to working with Urmilla and
others within the association to make our technical services more
responsive and beneficial."
