NSG Makes Changes in Senior Management Structure

In April 2007, NSG established an integrated global flat glass business, covering all of the group's building products and automotive operations worldwide. Now the company's specialty glass business-which includes the information technology and glass fiber businesses-will also be integrated into the new global organization. Due to the changes, the company has created new management positions.

The board of NSG Group announces the following senior management appointments, to take effect from October 1, 2007. Yozo Izuhara will continue in the role of chairman of NSG Group, leading the board of NSG Group. Katsuji Fujimoto has been named chief executive officer, in addition to his former titles of representative director and president. He will be responsible for monitoring the profitable operation and development of the NSG Group. Stuart Chambers, previously executive vice president and director, is now also a representative director and chief operations officer. Chambers will hold responsibility for managing the operations of the NSG Group.

Clemens Miller has been appointed senior executive officer, as well as senior executive officer and general manager of the building products business line in Europe. Miller was previously managing director of fire protection of Pilkington plc. Mark Lyons, in addition to being senior executive officer, is now also head of the building products business line.
