Morse Industries Opens New Distribution Center in
Charlotte, N.C.
Morse Industries, a supplier of custom and standard fittings and
extrusions, has built and brought online a new distribution center
in Charlotte, N.C. The 35,000 square-foot facility is designed to
service the company's East Coast and Southeast customers and is
equipped with leading inventory control/sales management software
to provide sophisticated order fulfillment and delivery.
"We are very excited to be opening the doors to this new facility,"
said Larry Morse, president. "Previously, we leased space in
the area to service our regional customers. Now, with this custom-designed
distribution center, we can increase our stockpile of products and
have the luxury of efficiently staging even the biggest orders.
It all adds up to better service, faster shipping and the space
to continue our growth."
The new distribution center system will provide customers with added
convenience and more efficient tracking for their orders and shipment
schedules, Morse noted. "We knew we needed a facility designed
to handle our growth and provide the capacity to service bigger
accounts."
To head up operations at the new facility, Jeff Morse, co-owner
and son of Morse Industries founder Leon Morse, will assume the
role of distribution manager and supervise all operations at the
Charlotte center.
"Jeff has served more than 20 years with the company in a variety
of roles," Larry noted. "He knows the business, he knows
the territory and he understands our customers' needs. With his
leadership and our new capabilities, we expect to see our business
growth continue on a fast track for the foreseeable future.
