MIT Researchers Develop Anti-Fogging, Self-Cleaning
and Glare-Free Glass
April 27, 2012
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
have developed a "multifunctional" glass based on surface nano-textures
that self-cleans and resists fogging and glare, according to information
from MIT.
The glass could be used in optical devices, the screens of smart
phones and televisions, solar panels, car windshields and even windows
in buildings.
The technology involves uneven nanoscale cones on the surface pattern
based on a new fabrication approach the MIT team developed.
