Linetec
Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Linetec,
is celebrating its 25th anniversary. In commemoration of this milestone,
Linetec will be hosting events for its employees, customers, community
and many others as it reflects on its last 25 years.
Linetec began its yearlong 25th anniversary celebration in January
with the kick-off of more than 25 scheduled community service events
benefiting Wausau, Wis.-area nonprofits. Among the events scheduled
are blood drives, the 2008 Wausau Start! Heart Walk for the American
Heart Association, as well the Relay for Life for the American Cancer
Society.
One of the community service events was an event for the United
Way, during which employees were encouraged to don sumo-wrestling
gear. Even Linetec president, Rick Marshall, got into the act although
he admits he "was not a champion."
The company also held an open house last month so that employees
could invite their families to see where they worked.
Marshall attributes the success to the open house to the roughly
80 employee volunteers that made the plant kid-safe. "This
event gave employees a great opportunity to show their families
what they do," says Marshall.
Marshall hopes that the company will continue on the same journey
it has been on for the last 25 years.

He credits the company's success with its "high-level customer
service. We give customers total solutions."
He explains, that while the company may add to its protocol of
services, "it is the inception and embracing of values based
management-what we call the core values-that have really fine-tuned
our strong organization and culture."
As the company looks toward its next 25 years, Marshall hopes that
Linetec will continue to be a leader in the green movement, including
its involvement in the LEED certification program. Overall, Marshall
expects that through Linetec's innovations, the company will not
only continue to thrive, but also "to reduce customer waste."
