Glaston Appoints Mika Laitinen as Vice President of Global Procurement
September 2, 2011

Finland-based Glaston has appointed Mika Laitinen as vice president of global procurement. He has 20 years of experience working in various sourcing positions in international companies. Prior to Glaston, Laitinen worked as chief procurement officer at CPS Color Group Ltd. in Finland, and has had an extensive international career in China and at Whirlpool Europe S.R.L. in Italy. He reports to Pekka Huuhka, senior vice president of supply chain.

“As competition in the marketplace gets tougher the strategic importance of sourcing operations grows,” Huuhka says. “We have already achieved some financial gains from optimizing our sourcing operations but as price competition gets tougher we need a superbly operating global sourcing function.”
