Kushner Appointed Chief Design Engineer for Bavarian Polymers USA

Bavarian Polymers USA Inc. announced the appointment of Robert J. Kushner as chief design engineer. Kushner will be responsible for designing new door and window systems, including those for structural, thermal and impact-resistant performance.

Kushner is originally from the Pittsburgh area and started with the design of thermal-break windows at ALCOA. He later advanced to ALCAN in Bradenton, Fla., where he was responsible for product design and certification of five vinyl window plants. He also worked for Vinyl Building Products/Deceuninck North America as a systems design manager and as director of product development for PTC LLC, a consulting firm located in Rockledge, Fla., specializing in fenestration engineering, validations and product approvals. He went on from there to design high-performance aluminum and vinyl window systems for WinDoor Incorporated.

In addition, Kushner was on the board of directors for the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and served on several committees at the national level. He is also a past president of the AAMA Southeast Region.
