Insula-Dome Skylights out of Yaphank, N.Y., a manufacturer of skylights
and roof windows, announced recently that Peter Kroes will serve
the company as a strategic partnership consultant.
Kroes, who had been in retirement, last served as president and
chief executive officer (CEO) of Roto Frank of America in Chester,
Conn., a position he held for 16 years. This past September, Insula-Dome
announced its acquisition of the operating assets of the Roto Frank
of America Roof Window manufacturing division. RotoFrank of America
is a subsidiary of the Roto Frank AG, a worldwide manufacturer/distributor
of roof windows and fenestration hardware products including the

his university graduation with a business degree and a subsequent
five-year stint working in his father's lumberyard. Kroes, a native
of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, joined the German company Roto Frank
AG, initially serving as a sales representative in Holland. He was
later promoted to director of sales. Twelve years later, when Roto

Kroes as its vice president and later as its president and CEO.
In 1985, Kroes built a facility in Chester, Connecticut and started
the manufacturing division of Roto Frank of America. He retired
from Roto Frank of America in 2002.
Kroes was formerly an active member of the Window and Door Manufacturers
Association (WDMA) and the American Architectural Manufacturers
Association. (AAMA).
