Kris Vockler, vice president of ICD High Performance Coatings in Vancouver, Wash., authors the Glass Pundit blog, sponsored by USGlass/USGNN.

She uses the vehicle to discuss trends and information about the decorative glass world, most recently touching on the topic of the use of LED lights for project or display enhancement.She queried her audience about this trend-and just how much of a "trend" it is.

"The article points to the fact that LED lights in glass are approaching the lifespan of commonly used building materials, what does this really mean? Does is mean that solid-state technology is strong enough to last as as long as the glass in your building?" she wrote, citing examples of the use of LEDs mentioned in the press as well as from her own experience at international trade shows.
