Kolbe's Staff Architect, Mark Piquette, Earns

Piquette, staff architect with Kolbe, passed the U.S. Green Building
Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® Accreditation
Professional (LEED AP) exam. Piquette studied LEED for New Construction
and Major Renovations (LEED-NC). Currently, he is applying this
knowledge on two customers' projects seeking registration through
LEED-NC: The University of Virginia's Bavaro Hall and the Cincinnati
Zoo's Gift Shop.
Piquette is a registered architect and member of the American Institute
of Architects (AIA), a certified professional of Construction Specifications
Institute (CSI) and a Certified Documents Technologist (CDT). He
also serves as the president-elect for the Northwest Wisconsin Chapter
of AIA. He has 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential
Prior to joining Kolbe, Piquette managed the engineered wood products
division at Wickes Lumber/United Building Centers/Timberroots Manufacturing
where he designed floor systems and roof trusses. Previously, he
worked as a project architect for various firms in Grand Rapids,
Mich.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a few firms in Wisconsin. Most
recently, he was with Hoffman Corporation in Appleton, Wis.
