Keymark
Adds Capabilities to Horizontal Paint Line
Aluminum extruder Keymark Corp. in Lakeland, Fla., has increased
capacity on its 40-foot horizontal paint line. By adding an incinerator
to its existing line, Keymark can now spray Kynar-based coatings
on aluminum extrusions in lengths up to 40 feet. The line was previously
capable of spraying only polyester and powder paints.
"Industrial architectural paint manufacturers have used Kynar 500®
PVDF resin for over 40 years," says Brent Slaton, national sales
coordinator for Keymark. "The paint coatings provide outstanding
durability and performance to exterior applications of pre-formed
aluminum components such as curtainwalls, louvers, panels and windows.
Fifty percent and 70 percent paint coatings using this resin system
are highly resistant to chalking, chipping, fading and peeling when
applied by an approved applicator."
According to information from the company, the addition of the
new incinerator demonstrates its commitment to sustainable environmental
solutions that keep communities environmentally clean and allows
its customers to achieve LEED ratings for green buildings.
