Diana Perreiah Named General Manager of Kawneer
North America
April 7, 2010
Diana
Perreiah has assumed the role of general manager for Kawneer Co.
Inc. in Norcross, Ga. In her new role, Perreiah will be responsible
for guiding the executive management team and oversight of company
operations, as well as leading operational excellence, capturing
productivity gains and delivering customer service for the company.
Perreiah most recently held the position of vice president of business
operations for the company. Her career with Kawneer parent company
Alcoa began in 1986 in Alcoa's Rigid Packaging Division, where she
held various leadership positions. In 1999, Perreiah transferred
to Pittsburgh to lead the consolidation of Alcoa's North America
information infrastructure services. In 2003 she joined Alcoa's
internal manufacturing excellence group, Alcoa Operations Management
Consulting, and was named plant manager for the company's largest
soft alloy extrusion plant in 2005.
In 2007 she was named operations manager at Alcoa's Lafayette (IN)
operations, part of its hard alloy extrusions business. Perreiah
later assumed responsibility for all extrusion operations in North
America. She will continue to be based out of Kawneer's headquarters
and will report directly to Glen Morrison in his new role as president
of Alcoa Building & Construction Systems. Perreiah graduated
with a bachelor of arts degree in computational science from Hollins
University. Perreiah, her husband and two children currently reside
in the metro Atlanta area.
"Although the market is still facing difficulties, I believe
that the team at Kawneer has been able to look toward the future
and continues to provide the quality and service that we are recognized
for," Perreiah says." Kawneer is a great company and I'm
truly excited to be leading such a strong team. There are tremendous
opportunities ahead and I'm looking forward to helping take the
company to the next level."
Perreiah's appointment is a strategic move for Kawneer as the company
continues to pursue an aggressive investment agenda. Recently, Kawneer
embarked on a carefully planned initiative to upgrade its service
centers to provide more flexibility and superior service to customers.
As Kawneer works to improve and expand its operational capabilities,
grow its wide range of products and advance the company through
technology and people, Perreiah's strong leadership experience in
operations, commercial and information services will be critical.
"Kawneer North America maintains a key role in Alcoa Building
& Construction Systems' strategy and even in these challenging
times for the industry we continue to invest heavily in the business,"
says Morrison. "I am confident that Diana's leadership will
continue to propel Kawneer toward its goal of driving innovation
and effective customer-centric business operations to ensure we
meet our customers' needs now and in the future."
