Berkowitz Launches Light Grey Silicone Sealed Units
In response to demand by the architectural community, J.E. Berkowitz
L.P., in Westville, N.J., now offers on-line and off-line capabilities
in producing light grey silicone and matching PIB sealants for insulating
glass units.
"Silicone has been the choice as a secondary seal for high-end
projects and architects because it's compatible with most high-end
coated products and is used in both conventional and structural
glazed applications," says Arthur Berkowitz, president of J.E.
Berkowitz, L.P. "We recently added to our in-house capacity,
both on-line and off-line, to meet that demand."
The company will supply 165,000-square-feet of light grey silicone
units for Comcast's new headquarters in Philadelphia and 20,000-square-feet
for the G Technical Center in Providence, R.I.
"We're looking for more opportunities with our new capacity,"
says Berkowitz. "Architects now have a choice in suppliers
of light grey silicone sealed units."
