J.E. Berkowitz, L.P. Names Dow Corning Supplier of the Year

J.E. Berkowitz, L.P. (JEB) of Pedricktown, New Jersey, a leading independent architectural glass fabricator, has named Dow Corning of Midland, Michigan its 2006 Supplier of the Year. Roger L. Thomas (pictured right), materials manager at JEB, recently presented the award to Tim Macdonald, territorial sales manager for Dow Corning, at JEB's headquarters.

"We are honored to present the 'Supplier of the Year' award to Dow Corning. It is well-deserved," says Thomas. "All of our suppliers go through a thorough evaluation process. Some of the criteria used are product quality, on-time delivery, packaging quality, back orders, and responsiveness to quality and service problems. Dow Corning was the best overall."

Dow Corning has been supplying its silicone insulating glass sealants to J.E. Berkowitz, L.P. for over two decades. "The company has consistently produced a great quality product on time and without any deviations," says Thomas. "It's very important to ensure that our sealant manufacturer's product is consistently of the highest quality so that the integrity of our architectural glass units are not compromised over the life of the products."
