Independent Testing Proves Intercept ULTRA Matches Thermal Efficiency of Foam Spacers

In recent independent testing conducted by Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI), a vinyl window using the improved Intercept spacer made with stainless alloy (branded Intercept ULTRA) was proven to match the thermal efficiency of a window made with a foam spacer, according to a press release by GED Integrated solutions, manufacturer of fully integrated insulating glass and vinyl window and door fabrication systems.

ATI performed both simulation modeling and physical testing in accordance with AAMA 1503-98. Both windows registered a U-factor of 0.27 and a Condensation Resistance Factor (CRF) of 76.
