IWFE to Offer Variety of Seminars and Educational Opportunities

At this year's International Window Film Conference and Expo™ in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., March 4-6, there will be numerous events and booths offering information and resources across the industry, including a panel discussion about growth in the window tinting business, a presentation on using the Internet for advertising purposes and a demonstration about security attachments.

The keynote speaker for this year's event will be Barry Maher, the nation's expert on yellow-page ads (click here for more info).

Events will get under way with IWFA president Darrell Smith's "IWFA Update" at noon on Thursday. Shortly thereafter, Ed Golda of Michigan Glass Coatings of Auburn Hills, Mich., will lead the panel discussion on "Growth in the Business," which will focus on shops that are successful because of simple solutions they use to tackle obstacles of all sizes and continue growing. After the panel discussion, Scott Frazer will make a presentation on the use of the Internet and other tools available to businesses that are not always utilized to the best of their advertising ability.

Finally, the first day of seminars will wrap up with Bill Carson, president of Mancon LLP of Lake Mary, Fla., giving a presentation on managerial assessment-what works, what doesn't and how well you're doing.

Other sessions to be offered include "Earning New Business Using a Security Survey," given by R. Scott Haddock, president of GlassLock of San Jose, Calif., and president elect of the International Window Film Association, discussing the use of a security survey at a site to attract and promote business, and "Trends in Architectural Glass," hosted by Greg Carney who will be looking at how the use of flat glass is changing and the latest developments in products and applications.

Mike Levy, Esq., of Levy Legal Services in Stafford, Va., also will return to discuss contracts and the legal aspect of protecting yourself and your company in his presentation "How to Write an Effective Proposal/Contract."
