The International Code Council (ICC) has announced its 2005 ICC
Codes Forum, which will include the 2005 code development hearings.
The forum will take place February 21-March 6 at the Millennium
Hotel in Cincinnati.
"Code development is the foundation for building safety
and safeguarding the public," said James Lee Witt, ICC chief
executive officer. "We have a record 2,000 suggested code
changes on the table. Such active participation ensures that the
International Codes address public safety for everyone and that
the code change process works."
Those taking part in the forum can also sign up to attend the
Code Boot Camp, February 21, which will provide a full day of
education on the 2003 International Codes. The boot camp will
include three full-day sessions; participants can choose sessions
on either the 2003 International Building Code, Plumbing Code
or Mechanical Code.
In addition, the ICC Expo will take place February 21, where
manufacturers and trade associations will showcase building and
construction technologies and products.
