Haller Recognized at Glass Expo Midwest™ '07
This year's Glass Expo Midwest™ '07 was held in honor of Christian
A. Haller, who passed away February 14, 2007, at the age of 70,
after a long battle with multiple myeloma. Members of Haller's family
were in attendance at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel & DeVos Place
in Grand Rapids, Mic., to officially open the event on October 9
at a ribbon cutting ceremony held in his honor.
Haller came to Illinois from Germany in 1954 and worked as a bricklayer
prior to joining Cardinal Glass Co. In 1960 he became a salesperson
for Cardinal Glass, where he later became general manager and vice
president. He moved to Michigan in 1976 and managed a window manufacturing
company. In 1978 he became a manufacturer's representative serving
Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
