Glass Expo Midwest to Be Held in Honor of Christian Haller

This year's Glass Expo Midwest will be held in honor of Christian A. Haller, who passed away February 14, 2007, at the age of 70, after a long battle with multiple myeloma. Members of Haller's family will be in attendance to officially open the event at a ribbon cutting ceremony held in his honor.

Haller came to Illinois from Germany in 1954 and worked as a bricklayer prior to joining Cardinal Glass Company. In 1960 he became a salesperson for Cardinal Glass, where he later became general manager and vice president. He moved to Michigan in 1976 and managed a window manufacturing company. In 1978 he became a manufacturer's representative serving Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.

Haller is survived by his wife, Kathleen, his three children and three grandchildren.

Glass Expo Midwest 2007 will be held October 9-10 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel & DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI.
