Guardian Industries Corp. Names Mike Morrison President of Guardian Automotive
Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Guardian Industries has named Mike Morrison president of its Guardian Automotive glass group. Morrison has been with Guardian for more than 23 years, and most recently worked in the company's flat glass group. He recently also has been heavily involved with the automotive group working on solar projects using Guardian EcoGuard glass, mirrors and automotive laminating and bending technologies, according to a statement from the company. Since joining Guardian, he has served in various business capacities, including assignments in Luxembourg, Hungary and Thailand.
"We are excited about the flat glass experience Mike will bring to the automotive group as we look to forge collaborative cross-business strategies that will enhance Guardian's success in the future," says Guardian chief financial officer and board member Jeff Knight.
Morrison has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Walsh College in Troy, Mich., and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Detroit. He and his family live in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Morrison succeeds Jim Davis, who retired earlier this year.
