Glaston Breaks Exhibition Sales Record with New Products
Glaston Technologies, part of Kyro Corporation, has closed a total of 27.8
million euros worth of new machine deals. The orders were received
in the international Glasstec 2006 exhibition in Düsseldorf
on 24-28 October. Glasstec is the largest glass industry event,
held every two years.
The exhibition sales total, including both pre-processing and safety
glass technology, is Glaston's all-time-high.
"Orders were also received for the newest top technology that
was launched by Glaston at the exhibition. I am delighted to see
that the products, strengthening the One-Stop-Partner concept, were
so enthusiastically welcomed. This is a sign of successful product
development," says Kyro president and chief executive officer
(CEO) Pentti Yliheljo.
Tamglass introduced an automatic process control based flat tempering
machine series, completely new in the industry. Bavelloni launched
a series of new kinds of modular cutting tables, a compact, large
capacity CNC centre called NRGTM and the Powerseam seamer, offering
top speed.
Orders were received from all main market areas and especially from
the EMA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) area and North America.
They are strongly concentrated on Glaston's strategic focus area,
glass processing machinery for the architectural industry. Some
of the orders received now will be delivered during 2006, but a
majority of all of these deliveries will be recognised in 2007.
