Glasswerks
LA Relocates to New Facility
March 27, 2009
Located in South Gate, Calif., Glasswerks LA Inc. recently relocated
into a new corporate facility. At 180,000 square feet, the new location
is three times larger than the previous location and features several
pieces of glass fabrication equipment, including four
tempering furnaces.
"We were out of capacity in our old facility and were looking
at ways we could become more efficient in our operations,"
Ed Rosengrant, Glasswerks' vice president of sales and marketing,
told USGNN.com. "In our new location we expect both quality
and service to improve greatly thanks to the new equipment and the
linear process we have here."
In addition, the facility features a new environmental controlled
laminating line, Lisec insulating line, three automated cutting
lines and a number of CNC edgers and polishers.
Rosengrant says the company also intends to add another tempering
line as well as additional CNC edgers.
"We're also looking to go from $60 million in sales to $80
million within the next two years, and we have our eye on markets
that are starting to percolate, such as solar.
