Messe Düsseldorf, organizer of the glasstec trade fair, and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf India, will jointly stage the new trade fair GLASSPEX INDIA taking place December 2 - 4, 2009 in New Delhi at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Center. The event is supported by the Indian Glass Industry Association, the All India Glass Manufacturers' Federation (AIGMF) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). The eighth International Glass Technology Conference organized by AIGMF will be held concurrently with the show.

More than 100 companies from 16 countries will be exhibiting, including Bottero, Bystronic, Grenzebach, Hindustan National Glass & Industries Ltd., Saint Gobain Sefpro and Zippe Industrieanlagen. Every aspect of the glass industry, from manufacturing to processing, glass products, applications, machinery, photovoltaic and solar energy, will be presented at the trade fair.

GLASSPEX INDIA 2009 will also feature the special show "Solar Energy Generation." Nine companies from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands will present on the developments and applications in innovative solar modules, glass and solar energy systems, solar collectors and photovoltaic cells. The special show is designed to complement the products and services showcased by the exhibitors.

With this special show, organizers say they will implement the "glass technology live" concept, which has been a successful special exhibit at the glasstec trade fair. Organizers say the "Solar Energy Generation" show will be of particular interest to architects, building engineers, planners and designers.

"GLASSPEX INDIA aspires to be the best glass trade fair on the Indian market. With the know-how provided by our subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf India, coupled with our almost 40 years of experience with glasstec, we are well on the way to quickly reach our objective," says Joachim Schäfer, managing director, Messe Düsseldorf.
