Fabrication and Glazing Educational Conference Opens Tonight in
Cincinnati

The Glass Association of North America's Glass Fabrication and
Glazing Educational Conference will open this evening with a wine
and cheese reception at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza in
Cincinnati, Ohio. More then 100 attendees are set to take part in
the event that provides an educational venue geared primarily toward
those with fewer than five years in the glass industry.
The program is divided into sections that focus on insulating,
laminating and tempering fabrication techniques, as well as contract
glazing sessions.
A number of topics will be discussed during the insulating, laminating
and tempering joint general session that begins tomorrow morning.
Program highlights include: float glass technology; automated glass
cutting and edging techniques; handling coated glass; and understanding
and maintaining a glass washer.
Likewise, some of the sessions that will be covered in tomorrow's
contract glazing track include: a day in the Life of a project manager;
third-party inspection of glass fabrication and installation; and
testing of architectural glass and framing systems. Inc.
